Ballroom Dancing Society

For all of you who want to waltz across the dancefloor, tango 'til dawn, or simply learn enough steps to avoid embarrassing yourself at a social night!

BALLROOM DANCING SOCIETY

The Ballroom Dancing society offers professional ballroom and latin tuition and compete in competitions across the UK. We have a great community of old-hands and newbies to dancing.

The aim is to learn some dancing, while having fun and meeting new people. It’s not that hard, so come along and give it a go!

The Society

The Society

Whether you've never set eyes (or feet) on a dance-floor, or have been dancing the cha-cha since before you could talk, we want you! Come alone, with a partner, with flat-mates, with anyone else you can persuade to come. Come in jeans and trainers, in a pretty dress with killer heels or in a full-body wetsuit and flippers (not particularly recommended) we don't care. The aim is to learn some dancing, while having fun and meeting new people. It's not that hard, so come along and give it a go!

The Classes

The Classes

Our Ballroom and Latin American classes focus on the ten traditional international-style dances: Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz (Ballroom) and Cha Cha, Jive, Samba, Rumba and Paso Doble (Latin American). We cater for all ability levels and whether you want to pick up a few steps for an important social occasion or sweep the trophies at competitions we have something for you! Up to five hours of lessons per week with our professional teacher, Chris, are included in your society membership.

The Teacher

The Teacher

Our weekly classes are taught by professional ballroom and Latin American dancing teacher Chris Malone. He also provides private tuition — to find out more, contact him directly here.
